xF2 Add-on in Credit Prefix Essentials featuring auto expiring prefixes and prefix filtering 2.3.2

Prefix Essentials adds new, essential, prefix related features.
Note that this addon is not compatible with the Multiple Prefix addon.

Expiring Prefixes​

New in Prefix Essentials 2.3 is some new, powerful functionality - expiring prefixes.
Prefixes can be set to expire automatically and on expiry, several actions can be applied to the thread.

When to expire​

On a per-prefix basis, prefixes can be set to expire

• At the user’s discretion, on specific date and time, entered when creating/editing the thread with the selected prefix

• Or after an admin set number of minutes since
  • The thread was created or
  • The last post was made (including the first post)

What to do on expiry​

Admin decide which of up to four actions that will be executed when a thread expires:

• Delete thread (remove from public view, not permanent)
• Lock thread
• Move thread (to an admin selected forum)
• Assign a different prefix (including none - i.e. remove the prefix)

Admin could, for example, have the prefix change to another and move the thread to a different forum.

Prefix Filtering​

Forum List - Prefix filter menus​

• On the forum list, there are menu items to view all threads with each prefix. These are limited to the prefix groups you enable (by editing the prefix group in the admin page).
• This can be toggled on or off with an admin option.
• Clicking a prefix opens a page showing all threads with that prefix
  • Respects per-forum visibility.
  • Respects user prefix ignoring.

Forum View - Prefix filter​

• At the top of the thread list, it shows the prefixes used by threads. Clicking each prefix applies the filter to only show threads with that prefix.
  • Shows prefix counts.
  • Respects thread visibility.
  • Respects user prefix ignoring.
• Makes it more convenient to filter the threads by prefix (still available via the “Filters” menu)
• This can be toggled on or off with an admin option.

New posts page prefix filter​

• Filter by prefix. Adds a prefix filter to the New Posts page.

Ignore Prefixes​

• In the account -> preferences page users will be able to select prefixes to ignore.
• Affects: Thread list, new threads widget and new post widget.
• Does not affect already watched threads

Removed functionality​

Last Post Info - Thread prefix​

• Display the prefix of the thread with the latest post for each node.
• This can be toggled on or off with an option in the admin panel.

Since this functionality was implemented in Xenforo 2.2, it has been removed from Prefix Essentials 2.3.

Terms And Conditions​

• The purchase price is £20 + VAT.
• The renewal price is 50% of the purchase price if renewed while the license is still active or 75% if the license has expired.
• This product will continue to be developed for the foreseeable future.
• Each license is valid for use on one site.
• 12 months support renewals are in place; when your support runs up you can continue to use the add on but will not be able to receive updates until you renew it.
