Hello everyone, this is becoming more and more frequent now since Amazon have released there latest version of Fire Os 8.1. It seems to be affecting the newest 4k firesticks. Certain procedures can fix the audio delay but certain firesticks stay the same. Heres a list of possible fixes.
1: Change the surround sound from Best Available to PCM.
2: Download an external player and enable it in the app being used. eg VLC Player.
3: Use a diffrent HDMI port on the tv.
4: try another app.
5: Use AV sync to manually adjust the delay to suit.
6: Buy another device.
This audio delay doesnt seem to affect older models eg 1st gen 4k firesticks, firestick lites. 2nd gen firesticks basically any device not using the latest fire os build. Its that bad in certain cases its even affecting youtube and bbc iplayer with the audio delay.
Has anyone else come across this ongoing issue?
